Roy has two main Modus operandi that he uses when seeking investors to sucker. Besides getting to know Roy pretty well off I have talked to other people that have contacted me through this website after being suspicious of Roy’s claims and using a search engine to see what the Internet reveals about him.
- Super Christian – Roy likes to present himself as any super Christian businessman that is a defender of the Faith. He will tell stories about building churches and the accomplishment of meeting specific Christian goals. He will make you think that he is God’s favorite servant. There are plenty of gullible Christians sitting in the pews today that have money to invest and would like to do it on a Christian basis. That is part of the reason that I maintain website is that I knew eventually Roy would return to the church looking for suckers that would invest their money in a method that Jesus would approve. I’ve prevented a number of people already from going any further with Roy and that always brightens my day.
- The big investor - besides Christianity Roy travels in other circles and present himself quite differently but I see that the pattern is little but same. Instead of being best friends with Jesus when he is in the churches Roy likes to drop names of heads of state and important ministers of various governments to impress people into giving him money. He will assure you that he has direct contact and can get the project in question hustled through any red tape bureaucracy.
Roy likes to brag that he is an agent of Eximbank which is a claim he used on me and others I knew a number of times. One of his recent victims researched that claim and found it was not true.
Another tactic Roy uses is the big project is almost approved that will make millions but he needs just a little more bridge financing to make the whole deal work. So the potential victim will just loan him temporary funding that person will be rewarded with a large profit. The only profit will go to Roy.
One current claim is the fish processing plant. It is true that Roy did take money and attempt to open a fish processing plant of his hometown of Georgetown Guyana but he kept everything is his name only. He lost the plant in a legal decision a year or so ago. Another claim he was traveling in the Caribbean islands was that he was to sell salted fish which is a staple in that area. I get a lot of hits from the Caribbean islands to this website from people trying to get information.
Another of Roy’s favorites is import export. They will claim that he is a successful agent that can handle large deals and true he will get money from investors but then he walks away with it.
I talked to someone recently and he explained Roy is still doing the Saint Lucia scam. Roy will claim to be a builder and that the governments of some islands will ask him to build hurricane proof housing. Roy will tell you he had lunch with President X of country X in the last week and all he needs is some bridge financing to get things going. Don’t fall for it.
Another current con is a project for generating electricity on islands such as the Dominican Republic. Also with the earthquake crisis in Haiti it would not surprise me for Roy Dan to create something like a Haitian Christian fund or something else to do with Haiti. I’ll be watching and posting.
