I was swindled out of $70,000 trying to help the people in Saint Lucia by a man posing as a Christian businessman recommend by my former church. It hurts to get conned but out of everything and by someone successfully masquerading as am authentic representative of Jesus that a church recommends adds a lot to the pain. I was sinking into depression after multiple lay-offs in the IT industry when I inherited some money and was looking to turn my life around and make the world a better place. I was attending a bible-preaching church and determined to make a difference in the world. 
Unfortunately I followed the consensus of the church who highly endorsed Roy Ronel Dan as someone I could trust as a true servant of the Lord. I took the recommendation as church is supposed to be a ‘safe’ place like your grandmother’s kitchen where a bit of extra protection is given. But I was reamed just like countless Catholic alter boys in a financial sense by someone who was portrayed as a trusting steward of the Lord.
I put up this site to document what happened and to try and get whatever closure that I can as well as alert others to the dealings of Roy Ronel Dan so that they may prevent getting swindled themselves. I was not the only person that invested or loaned Roy money. Over time I found his modus operandi is to convince someone they are doing the work of the Lord by investing with him and then when the money is gone Roy will blame the Lord. He even named his business ‘My Father’s Business’ which is a quote from Luke 2:49. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
Instead of easing the loss and letting me know I had been conned, Roy continued the charade and managed to get more money out of me and some others before finally packing up and leaving the area. Just a shrug and ‘it is the will of Jesus; not my fault’ and my money was converted into his personal investments.
I tried to do the right thing and go to the church for help that the Bible promises in Matthew 18:15-17. I wanted the congregation alerted that Roy was a potential conman and the congregation needed to be warned. Promises were made to look into the matter but the elders changed their minds. Those emails will soon be posted.
The Bible says that all will be revealed in Luke 12:2-3 But there is nothing covered up, that shall not be revealed: and hid, that shall noIt be known. Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And now the Internet I might add.
Hopefully my efforts will prevent others from falling victim to lies of Roy Ronel Dan. He told me many and I’ll be documenting them over the next week or two. I’m doing this to expose him and will do my bes to alert any and all churches where Roy now resides. I have an obligation to alert others are chances are Roy will visit more churches with his tactics refined. Peter 2:22 warns -It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.
I do not fear litigation as truth is on my side. I’ve been on a few juries and have no fear of twelve of my peers hearing the evidence and rendering the decision. All the Christians I know are repulsed by what happened to me as well as the non Christians.
Too many have come forth to make money in the name of Jesus.
It’s time to end Christianity for profit.

Typical Christian! Thanks for reminding people to be wary, ESPECIALLY of those speaking in the name of religion. I feel bad for all of the vulnerable people that are suckered out of their life savings by these scammers claiming that the “church” desperately needs money. They fly in on private jets and the “followers” drive in in their 1972 escorts.
Palin is a perfect example of someone claiming to be mightier than thou (whoever that is) and has 5 kids, one w/downs syndrome 3 months old and is traveling the country to be VP and work and travel more. AND she has the nerve to be “pro-life” and “pro-hunting”. what the f???
sorry for the loss. i suppose the biggest lesson to be learned is that our love of money will all too soon bring us down. just look at the current financial situation. the early church members were very socialistic in in some ways, sharing their wealth and possessions for the greater good of the church. things would be far better now if we learned a bit from them…

I have to say I can relate. I sold a subway shop to a guy who was a Christian and he disappeared. Making a long story short, I lost $95K from the sale. (He paid me $3K the first three months) Anyhow, I wanted revenge, like you. I was a Christian but not reading the bible. I started to pray and asked God to be the judge of this situation and help me forgive this man. I made the right choice. 12 years later and my relationship with God has grown leaps and bounds, I give to charity and help the orphan and the widow as the bible wants us to do. My experience resulted in a changed life by knowing the author of life, my creator and my savor. My walk with God is based on Jesus Christ not on man. (All men are sinners.) The result is that I am free. No bitterness. I am a Christian and I know Jesus! I hope you can get past this unfortunate situation and see Christianity for what is truly is.

I recommend seeing the Bill Maher movie “Religulous.” Most of the People in the theater audience clapped at the end. One may not like like Mr. Mayer personally but the movie speaks the truth. Where are you God?

So you sensed something was wrong, by the Spirit of the living God and instead of listening to your Lord and King you listened to the people around you? As our Savior tells us – The blind will lead the blind and both shall fall into the pit. In this case it sounds as if you made a choice to be led, with your eyes closed into a pit.
I mean you no offense my brother and I have no doubt that you were “swindled” but the Bible gives us warning after warning about this very subject (fools and money soon parted, etc). I’ve been there many times myself but I’ve learned to listen to the “still small voice of the Lord”. More than that I’ve learned to obey because when He speaks it’s not a request it’s a command and it will save us a lot of grief.

Well Well Well… Don’t I ever feel like an idiot. Im here to tell you folks that Roy Boy is still in action. I just got scammed out of $25,000 from this bastard, and yes he is certainly running under the umbrella of Christ. Please anyone that has been scammed by this man send me an email. It is time this con is stopped in his tracks.
FYI: He is currently looking for money for renewable energy projects, windmill projects in St. Lucia, housing projects in Barbados, and probably my energy project in Dominican Republic of which he will be using all my business plans that he has to sell the deal. He is claiming to have great finance raising capabilities, and passing documents stating that he is an accredited EXIM Bank broker (which we have confirmed he is not)…. He was also trying to convince me to invest into a bar/club in England. He claims he has large financiers in France. This guy is a complete disgusting fraud and con artist.
I will make sure he pays for his crimes.
One more thing. You people that have taken the time to register on here just to criticize the person that got taken by this Roy Dan disgust me just about as much as Roy himself. What is the matter with you people!!
